This morning when I let Horcrux (my husband's cat) out, I noticed a very large furry caterpillar curled up in the seat of Jon's "outside" chair. I tentatively ran a finger across the bristly hair on his back and he stirred.

"Didn't pick a very warm spot to crash." I observed. "Where are you from?"

"I was fine! I'm on my way out of town," he responded with that odd mixture of nervousness and bravado that I don't think exists in those exact proportions outside of young adulthood.
