about me
I am a bit of an oddball and I love to laugh and put twists on words, situations, ideas, etc. I love exploring possibilities of how things could be and why things are as they are. I think silliness is equally as important as maturity. I'm very laid-back and it takes a lot to rile me up or offend me. I can't keep a grudge for anything.
I generally have a pretty positive outlook but my sense of humor considers nothing sacred. I can joke about pretty much anything, and find humor in just about everything, but in real situations I'm quite compassionate and caring. Jokes are jokes, reality is reality. The easily offended and I tend not to get too close. However, I also understand appropriateness and don't go out of my way to be offensive to the non-deserving.
I like to take my mind to places I fear to tread, and I am insatiably curious about many things. I love to keep learning and I'm ridiculously objective and open-minded. I'm an explorer, internally and externally.
Travel is my biggest passion, and I plan to see as much of the world as possible before I die. I've only been to Thailand and Mexico so far. My dream job would be doing what Anthony Bourdain does, but without a camera crew.
I have a great interest in the culinary world and would love to learn to cook like a chef, but don't want to be one professionally (you bust your ass very hard for too little money). I love to explore different foods and also love a good beer or wine.
A great time for me is playing my guitar and singing with a few friends and a few pints. I also dearly love the ocean, and one day I will have a house in a coastal, tropical location. I have to take trips a couple times a year to maintain my sanity and feed my wanderlust.
I don't come to Tribe enough. Everyone's on MySpace or Facebook, sadly.
Well, I'm going to Burning Man for sure this year. The awesome folks who run Deviant Playground have invited me to camp with them and I am honored and excited. These are some of the most genuine and real people I've met.
Life is having it's strange twists, of course.
My current focus is on Burning Man and making an album. I finally have a decent mic and I'm in the process of writing some new songs. It's been a very ...

Yesterday i went to the Rebar Bender and I feel like I've finally met "my people". There's a wonderful energy in the burner community that is hard to describe. There's an openness, sexuality, creativity and ability to completely be oneself. There's something in the eyes of a burner...a kind of clarity. While there's certainly a very flirtatious and sexually open atmosphere, it doesn't feel shallow at all. People connect. Maybe it's for just a moment, and then they'll be connecting with someon...

Hmm...it seems I haven't been keeping up on my blog here. I tend to post mainly on my myspace at myspace.com/omnithought
So, I went to the newbie burner event in Mesa last weekend and learned some good stuff that I hadn't read online. There was a lot of great and practical info and some really good people. Some of the "veterans" of Burning Man (dare I call them elders?) were Scotto, Naked Mike, Ruvi, Chromatest, Blank, Wild Child, and a few others. I soaked up the info like a sponge and no...

I have just published a site that is a hub of all things Bill. It has almost all of my writings since about 2005 in the rants section, and has links to all my profiles on MySpace, LiveJournal, OKCupid, tribe.net, and more.
Music, video, poetry, songs, etc will be added soon. www.omnithoughts.com

I've been away from tribe for a couple years, and now I've created a new profile since I'm not the same person that I was in the old one. No, you silly fuckers, I'm not schizo, just changed a lot in the last couple years.
I'm mainly back because I took the plunge and bought a ticket to Burning Man for 2008, and this is one of the best places for info. I'm looking to make some new friends and get out of my hermit shell and make life a blast!
I still tend to communicate a lot through MyS...
