I met Kate outside of the Mutaytor Show at the Avalon, when she was all dressed up to promote another show. We chatted a bit about the shows and I never knew I'd met her again shortly after in my rental minivan - we shared a ride to Burning Man 2004! I told her I met this "hot girl" standing outside the Avalon the other day - it didn't occur to me that might have been Kate. I'm such a dork, I know.

So that's the most "subtle" compliment Kate ever received. Girl you deserve it! I still haven't seen you sing yet, you owe me that Kate. Let's hang out again with our "Burner Van" gang shall we?
