San Diego Belly Dance Showcase Update

We're happy to have our first Showcase this Sunday February 8, 2009,
at 1446 Front Street, Suite 101, San Diego, CA 92101,
from 11 am to 2 pm.
Our performers for this first event are listed below in alphabetical order:
* Delilah, of San Diego.
* Ida Veimau, of San Diego.
* Mi-Ri a bellydancer with Mandala DanceWorks, a tribal fusion troupe in Hollywood.
* Phoenix of Wicked Gypsy Bellydance, in Temecula.
* Valentina, of San Diego.
* Note to performers:
Please send more information about yourself, if necessary. Also, let us know if you want to perform at a certain time.
Details about our Sunday Showcase:
* We will be starting out by doing our Showcase once a month, and developing it into a weekly event later.
* Our first Showcase will take place as mentioned above.
* Subsequent Showcases will be held on the first Sunday of each month, same place, but from 2 pm to 5 pm.
* The Showcase will feature various styles of dancing: Belly Dancing, Hoop Dancing, Flamenco, Salsa, Tango, Hip Hop, etc, and some live music.
* On some Sundays we will also have a workshop.
* There will be some vending and a snack bar.
* There is no charge to attend the showcase. Donations, however, will be appreciated.
Remember:
* We have taken the first step, but the success of this showcase depends in large part on your participation and spreading the word.
* Attention performers: Contact us two weeks in advance if you want to perform.
* Attention instructors: Contact us several weeks in advance if you want to offer a workshop.
* Don't forget, suggestions are always helpful and welcome. Tell us what you think, even if you're not gonna participate.
