I created, own, and operate Firefly, currently a virtual/online shoe store operated from Raleigh, NC. I have lived in Raleigh for 11 years and in the Triangle for over 16. Shortly after receiving my BA from UNC-CH, I worked at an alternative clothing and shoe boutique in Charlotte called Superior Feet. As an artist with an MFA from the University of Georgia in Athens, I have an eye for design and a flare for style. Inspired by Superior Feet, as well as the funky boutiques I frequented in Atlanta during my graduate studies, I decided to bring progressive shopping to Raleigh. I started Firefly after taking small business classes at Wake Tech, attending trade shows in Las Vegas, and researching similar boutiques in Berlin, Florence, Venice, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver. I wear many hats at Firefly and I am proud to be the sole owner of the business.

Serving the Triangle since 2003, Firefly features fun, hip, out of the ordinary shoes for guys and gals. We specialize in designer footwear not available elsewhere in the Triangle. Lines by John Fluevog, PF Flyers, and Destroy are exclusively available to Triangle customers at Firefly. In fact, we sell styles and color ways by cult designer John Fluevog that are completely exclusive to Firefly. For the collector of “Fluevogs,” limited edition styles are greatly coveted. Other unique shoes by Bronx, Camper, Faryl Robin, Medium, Morenatom, Gola and Vans are also available at our boutique. We also have clothing from designers OK47, House of Spy, Soda Blu, Split, and Leaf Lobster. Last but not least, we have fabulous bags, jewelry and accessories handcrafted by local designers. These artisans sell their wares at Firefly on consignment. In a highly competitive market, Firefly provides items that cannot be found elsewhere locally and in some cases nationally.
