But if we use our observation inwardly, We begin to see behind the words, We see the process of labeling, controlling and organizing the world into habitual conditions. It's a wonderful tool, and in a way, it's allowed the older, slower way of reading books and paper texts to be a change of pace. I've just opened up, "The Buddhist Bible," a book that's been sitting on my shelf for some time. Included in the texts is the Tao te Ching.
