about me
The past few years have been very "interesting" for me. A breakup with a girlfriend kind of threw me off base both financially and emotionally and I ended up escaping into a tiny little clubhouse of an apartment for a few years. I'm still in debt, but I've been able to climb out of morass that became my life and enjoyed some of the nicer things. By doing that, I found someone I truly care about and married her. Now I am happy, working toward a future and comfortable knowing that she is with me. Its not always easy, but nothing good ever is.

My random bullshit

First there was Cocaine energy drink. It went away quickly.

Now here comes "Blow" a white powder that is distributed in a clear vial that dissolves in water.

How's it taste? Read my review.

 Kind of tired, really.

We have a tiny, inquisitive, hairy, big eyed, squeaking little baby boy in our house. Born on Devil's night, he's already had a pretty shitty life and he's barely a week old.

Stormy's in love. How could she not be?

I'm shocked, scared shitless and worried I am not doing something right. In other words, I am displaying the classic symptoms of being a dad.

Holy shit. That's the first time I've said that.  Im a Dad.

I need a drink.

I'm just trying to go about business as usual, despite the fact that I now live in a house with a wife, 2 kids, a baby and four cats.

Still working on trying to write the program proposal for my Haunted Austin concept. I know what I want and know how it should look and sound, but writing it is excruciating. I stare at blank pages or a handful of crossed out notes and hope that some spirit from beyond decides to be my muse and help me write this thing. I really want this production to work, but I need to get this treatment done.

Have decided to approach this whole thing as a multi-episode series. I think there is enough material out there to cover all the locations in their own seperate episodes. The Driskill Hotel has at last count a half-dozen ghosts roaming the halls. The hotel even had a ghost package for Halloween, so contacting them about doing a program on their hotel might be a solid possibility.

Its starting to shape up. Just need to get over a few hurdles.

Anyone have any suggestions for music?

Looks like the article on the Year End Movie Guide was rather popular. I pulled some SEO tactics just to help bring in some additional pageviews to the site and it looks like it paid off some. Someone sent the link to othercrap.com and I've been getting hits from them for the past two days. Digg - as expected - buried it. I guess if I'm not talking about how great Digg is or the latest thing that makes Ubuntu so nifty and better than windows, the story doesnt stand a chance of making it out of the "upcoming" page.  I hate the Digg Mafia, which is just an amusing title given to a bunch of power-hungry a-holes that like to think they are important.

In addition, I also got a couple of bucks from Associated Content, so overall I guess  it was worth the effort.

In other news...

I got my name in the credits for a program on the air. Its only taken 21 years worth of working in and around the broadcasting industry and I barely had any involvement with the production other than hitting record on a few VTR's - but screw it: my name was finally in the credits for the first time. Im excited.

And while working last night, it occurred to me that no one has done a television program on the haunted places around Austin. And there are a TON of haunted places.  I started brainstorming a few ideas and the Production Manager liked them. So now I have a little under one year to produce this thing and get it on the air for next Halloween.  Anyone know of some good writers? Really excited about this one.
