Fell right up there in the great Pantheon of weird,fun,asshole tinged experiences.

The day,Saturday,was just beautiful-weather was cool and breezy,the weather man said rain but no-the day ityself was too good to be true.
I had many friends comoimg in-Will and kids from Baton Rouge.Met my barbarian budies from BR as well.
All went well as friends trickled in througout the day-some in costume,some not................

Then the Faire ended and we headed out to what is supposed to be the funner part of the day-we had expectations of gumbo,fire in the sky,colored flames and fire spinners.

But no,no sooner had Kenny fired the first skyward bound propane salvo than a small,fat troll of a woman crawled out of her tent and told us we were making too much noise and how long would we be doing this-this at 7 pm mind you!
In an effort to understand her situation,I started talking to her-this is when she said-"Step into the light,I'm deaf and have to read your lips,I am ex military and have a 9mm."

Now, I don't know why the nice deaf lady said we were too loud,and I can't imagine why she was going to sleep at 7 pm,and I sure don't like being threatened with a gun.This is when I unloaded and told her I would call the fucking cops on her now.........but cooler heads stepped in.Then the cops showed up,twice,to tell us to turn the fires off-all fires including the torches-now these are propane torches,and no sparks will issue from there,but,as we all know,reasoning with law enforcement types rarely goes well-they are not paid to listen OR have a sense of humour.They did not disappoint!
Pity.
From there back to camp.................................then it rained,and rained ,and rained..................................I will never forget talking to Anna the Russian Hooper and loking at her smiling,dripping face,along with Noah.
Oh well,more later,maybe.

Almost as much fun as spring!

Was a pretty great show.Started slowly with "I'm Calling You".Now my first thought was"Isn't this the song that made all the Martian's heads explode" in Mars Attacks?
But it got better.
He then entered his "I am the new Roy Orbison" phase,pretty good,a little mellow for your rock loving correspondent though.
He ended with covvers,a lot of them,Twist and Shout was the last one,odd,what a voice!
Also the Tallest drummer I have ever seen..........
