I'm moving to Georgia!

Well, I've been in the Big Apple for a year and a half, and it doesn't even know I exist. I don't have the drive to make it here, and I'm losing my nanny gig. I the meantime, I met a wonderful guy who has since moved to Georgia, and I'll be joining him at the end of September. We're going to have chickens and probably sheep, and maybe honeybees, on a beautiful property with an antebellum house that used to be a stagecoach stop. I hope it's haunted!

What I'm Thankful For

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's house today, and I was hoping there would be a tradition of everyone telling the group what they were thankful for. But they didn't, so I'm blogging. I am thankful for you, my beautiful friends. I hope you all have the same blessings I do.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Finally, some blog-worthy news

I haven't blogged yet because I didn't have anything that I thought was worthy, but this was a big couple of weeks! I ordered my pavilion from Panther Primitives, am working on costumes for a play in New York, like a real paying job in show biz, and I went to my first same-sex wedding!

I am getting a Regent pavilion with a canopy fly, and finials. I love finials. Almost as much as tassels. It's costing a lot, but I'll take good care of it and it will last a long time.

I am working as a seamstress for a show called the Christmas Revel, here in New York.

Bryan and Paul got married back in my hometown in South Jersey on Saturday. I read a poem by e.e. cummings, and saw my son, whom I don't get to see nearly as often as I'd like.

The pic is of me in the corset I made, but that's old news.
