I remember a couple of years ago I went to the symphony with Carl. We were hearing Beethoven, no intermission. Two hours long. I ended up sitting next to a mousy little man dressed in a tux and he was with (I assume) his very, very large wife who sat on the other side. That I am in town, I walk 6 of my Grandchildren to school. Actually it is more like, I walk as fast as I can, they run to keep up. Or they run ahead to a designated spot and wait for me to catch up and then they run ahead again and wait. We have taken the same route for 2yrs. We see and greet many of the same people as we pass by.

ALL the contestants were absolutely wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about every single competitor. So if you competed and are reading this... THANK YOU for allowing me the opportunity to meet you, you were (are) wonderful. Most everything went without a problem. Well, except for my poor judges... The house lights were dim and made reading the score sheets rather difficult, but the judges were also very creative in their ways ... read more
