The Shift

Practice staff

I want to make a practice staff. I've got a broom handle that's the right length and a nice feel, but it need to be a little heavier. I've seen people impale tennis balls on the ends and mount them with electrical tape, but I'm thinking there must be more than just the balls. Advice?

pennies or washers work well... or if you have a scale you can use beans or sand or something, just make sure the ends are evenly weighted and not too heavy ... (that includes using the same amount of all materials on each side -- grip tape, electrical tape, etc. and make sure you're dead on with the center of mass)
