Why I dance

October 15, 2007
You make me sweat and ache so good! I LOVE YOU!

Jemira is da' bomb. I thought seriously about not writing more and leaving it at that, but for those that haven't had the pleasure of having her for a teacher, i'll 'splain. She is only the second teacher I've had and the difference is like night and day-and AMAZING. Her patience and sense of humor help IMMENSELY. Her knowledge of the dance is outstanding and shows in her movement. And on top of it all, she's a faboo friend. :)

Jemira's dancing is filled with confidence and passion. Every time I see her dance, I think of fire ... smoldering coals leaping into bright flames.

How I miss this woman! We've spent years of dancing, partying and being the sisters separated at birth. Life has placed us on different paths, and I hope that they converge again soon.

My treasure, Jemira, I wish you all the love in the world. I'm so pleased to see you've found someone who can appreciate your soul, your beauty, your love.
Everytime I look at that pic of Hassan I smile, knowing that we're connected through that sword. (how DID he get it so damn shiny? I want mine to look like that!).

There isn't a more encouraging dance instructor in town, if you have the honor of taking lessons from Jemira, others will notice it in your dancing.

Lots of love,
Roya,

I have been blessed and had the grace to know Jemira for a very long time. I have also been blessed with having been able to see her progression in dance through the years, (and dang it, she just keeps getting better!) and having been her roomate for over 5 years, I have also gone through the "if I hear that song one more time I'm gonna yack", syndrom as she prepares for a show. Watching her dance, what ever the venue, has always been a magical moment for me. Her LOVE and passion for dancing shines through so clearly, that when she starts dancing you loose track of everything else but the magic she is weaving. She is gracious, kind, goofy, silly, my best friend and sometimes my co-conspirator. Thanks for always being there.
