I started bellydancing in September 2003, studying with Venus and Sarita, in Vancouver, B.C. I took salsa classes for four years until an unrelated shoulder injury made all those spins rather painful! I also studied jazz dance for 8 years, but quit when we relocated to the Lower Mainland when I was 16. I work full-time at a large law firm in downtown Vancouver. In my spare time (when I'm not in dance class!) I make jewellery (love sparkly things!).
I have recently taken my jewellery business to the next level - selling a few pieces at a funky (and super fun) dress boutique around the corner from me (www.iwantdujour.com). I have my own section in their main display case, yay! Also in the process of setting up a meeting at another nearby boutique. I just began a night course in make-up artistry - can't wait to expand my creative horizons (and counteract the soul-sucking black hole that is the legal field - okay yah that's a tad melodramatic, but sometimes it is true, sadly)! [Sigh] It's a wonder I have time to work M-F, 9-5pm! Damn, I need a vacation...
