Re: where's the assuit? (in Tribal Costuming) I got some from here: www.pureegypt.com/assuit_dress.html. I found their pricing and service good and their delivery remarkably quick (I'm in New Zealand).

Certified ATS teacher (FCBD) (blog entry) (OMG!)

I got back from Australia on Tuesday night. It's now Friday afternoon and I finally sort of have time to write about it. I returned to an urgent costuming job, which is now all sent off, and I'll be happy if I never see a fake gold coin ... read more

TT minus two days (blog entry) I think I've kind of worn out my volume 7 dvd.

That's good, right?

Thanks to new, speedier check-ins, I only have to be at the airport 90 minutes before my 6:40am flight. This pleases me greatly.

Here it is being danced by a German group whose name translates as "Baker Street dance group", which makes my inner Sherlock Holmes fan happy: www.youtube.com/watch

And here is the same dance being done to...Misirlou!

This is primarily for my own reference, for when I eventually get those Jaipur skirts I've been coveting ;~)

Also, if any neighbours, birds, or passersby meddle with my precious skirt while it's on the clothesline, mark my words: I... read more

Anyway.

On Saturday morning I got up at stupid o'clock, New Zealand time. I was driven to the airport by a very nice Ethiopian chap, who was happy because it was the last job of his shift. At the airport there was nowhere to fill my wate... read more

My dance group very rarely does anything together that isn't dance related, so it was really nice that we went to the Diwali festivities after practice on Sunday. We consumed delicious Indian food and looked at many, many bindis. There was a really well-curated bindi exhibition, with beautiful displays and well-written information, and a lovely woman at the door who stuck little red bindis on our foreheads as we left. Then of course there was a sea of bindis, jewellery, scarves and saris for ... read more
