There was a lot of ancient erotic art from many cultures, but our prudish culture has hid much away as well as destroyed priceless works.

This is an ancient Greek piece.

The style is called "red-figure" and it first appeared in the last third of the sixth century BCE, before the classical period in Greek art.

This is a wonderful work of art, nice choice Cindy!

I didn't think it looked like the Mycenaean stuff I've seen, but I wasn't sure either.

There doesn't seem to be much that you don't know about!

That would put that work at the time of Sappho's era on Lesbos. I think she lived around that time period. The arts flourished then. The Mycenaean's were over by 1200 BC, along with the Hittites.
