Well, I went out tonight with some friends for my birthday dinner (my actual birthday is tomorrow) and my friend Kirsten pointed out to me that my age this year is a very magical number. 37. 3+7=10 and there are 10 fingers, 10 toes, lots of important relations to 10 in the world of math, time, etc etc.

I never really thought about it in that way.

I've been giving some thought to my birthday, age, getting older and all that jazz that usually comes up for many of us as we blow out those candles. I've come to the determination that age is really relative and it's all just about how you live your life. If you live an old life you will be old. If you live a young one, young. And it's never too late to learn new things, start new hobbies, go on adventures, dream, and experience. I want to learn to do some gymnastics in capoeira and dammit if I'm not going to do it, even though my knees are a bit creakier than they used to be. I will do that handstand into the bridge, if it takes me another year or more to learn it!

So here's to the magical number of this year, to the adventures that I know are coming, and to all of the wonderful people in my life who help to make it what it is now.
