Love

I have finally realized that I am not ready for love. As much as I have searched for it, I now know why I have never found it. I have way too much shit in my past to deal with before I can even make myself open to love. Perhaps in another lifetime I will find that special someone. But until then, I am just not ready for love.

Thank Gods for Weekends

I'm off for another active weekend. Hashing today, RHPS tonight, then Palmistry tomorrow. Monday starts the workweek with an appointment in Waynesboro, then back to the office for another boring day. It seems that I live for the weekends anymore. I suck at my new job. And I hate failing, especially since I try so hard not to. It really puts a strain on me.

Recuperating at my own pace....

Well, I made it back from PDF in one piece. Time to go back to the daily grind. It always feels so different coming back after a burn. It's almost like you're on another plane of reality. Like reality is happening around you, but you still can sense everything from the Playa. Feel the fiery heat on your face; smell the sweet scent of smoke in your clothes, hair, car, blankets, etc.; taste the exhilerating flavor of the night; hear the crackle of the flames (or the whoosh); see the flames climbing high into the sky in your mind's eye. And then there are the friendships made and the bonds shared and the freedom to be whomever you want to be with nobody judging you. Everyone just accepts and loves. And that's how it should be, both on and off of the Playa.

Back again

Sorry it's been so long. I've started a new job, in a totally different field, and I'm just starting to settle in here. Time sure does take it's toll sometimes. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to Fall PDF and seeing all my new friends again. Hopefully I can keep in touch better this time around. See you there!!

Everything Comes in Threes

Well, I'm now 30. I'm finishing off my third decade, and here I am, starting over for the third time. I've moved yet again, and I'm back to being habitually broke. I'm looking for a new job, something that will pay the bills better and maybe even let me get on my feet financially for the first time. I'm also starting on a new path for my body, as I have resigned myself to the fact that I'm not getting any younger and need to start exercising on a semi-regular basis. I'm also trying to reestablish myself with the Goddess in me. I know She's there, but lately I've been feeling cut off from Her. I think maybe a womyn's ritual would be beneficial to me and to others like me. Anyone who's interested, please contact me. I'm thinking perhaps Thursday, September 14th would be a good date. I'm flexible with the time, we can figure it out later.

30, 30, 30

I've been working my butt off at work lately. My review is in a couple of months, and I need to look good for it. I'll be on vacation next week (thank Gods), starting just after my birthday. I turn 30 this year, and I'm just beginning to be more cautious about the way I live. Look out world, Heather just got a little older and a little smarter! LOL

Blog Blog Blog

Went on a trip to Delaware for a showing of RHPS with some friends of mine. Had a blast at the theater. Perhaps we'll do it again sometime soon. Working on some new poetry right now. Lammas went great, I got to meet a bunch of new people and celebrated long into the night. Wonderful time, wonderful people.
