My favorite word or qoute of the day.

Anything that is created must sooner or later die.

about me
Well, I dropped my last profile because I change everyday. I am the luckiest guy on the planet, at least I think so. I work to live and live to love. I play to keep my inner child from atrophying, and I am learning to live out loud. Also, I will list the things I am NOT good at for your reading fun. I know almost nothing about home repair, or plumbing, electrical stuff, roofing, painting, building a fence, woodworking, so I am NOT a handy man in the traditional sense, and in fact I usually end up getting injured anyway. I do not know how to repair a car engine, and I do not know what sports team is doing well or whatever. I do make up for this by far in many other ways. I have very valuable skills, but they are not manly man skills. If you need help with a computer, mycology, gardening, musical knowledge and musicianship, I can do that, and I am an honest and ethical listener as well as a good friend to have. Just dont ask me to hang a door.

My Blog

I am, and have always been a show off in some manner or other. It is not that I display these opals again and again for your benefit so much as mine. I guess this makes me a bit selfish, and a bit of a show off. But I love to display, to show in person, preferably.

I love to share my passion in this way. I have so many facets and partitions in my sphere of centrical evolution, so I am full to the brim with life, though I am often exhausted with all of the daily tasks, just as you are most ... read more

But a special happy mother's day to Gina.

I would be typing for years were I to describe the wisdom and compassion, the caring and kind heart, the beauty and sensuality, the patience and perseverance of my companion and mother of the two little ladies we obviously would not have been able to create without Gina's participation.
And we practice with frequent reminders of how to improve on that particular skill.

I draw what I need to me, and sometimes it is what I really need, other things can result in ethical blunders in both the physical reality and the spiritual. Ever since I found a certain black opal, I have been attempting to focus manifestation into a passion that I have always held close. I have many passions, and all equally important, though most assume it is all about opal.
I am the luckiest fella in existence, or at least I feel that way.
Just like my wonderful companion and daughters,... read more

I still need to grind off some of the black covering the fire on the really dark one, and I have only sanded down to final shaping, but when polished these will glow.
This was taken in very low light.

Out of the three stones I was able to obtain from the rough, this one is the focus for me to finish first.

Re: Who loves Opal? (in Gemstones) Thanks for showing the photos, nice opal!
Keep it in water unless you are going to cut it, then expect to loose most of the rough to crazing.
I do know a site outside of Gerlach that has opal in eroded basalt. it is very stable and has the blue ... read more
