Suddenly the day arrives, and that's the problem.
I am one of those people who tend to put tasks off until the crucial moment. This usually applies to the bigger time consuming tasks, like getting ready for the burn.

This year I have been blissfully ignorant on purpose, and I have put off even thinking about the event, that is until I took my ranger training. For the first time after several burns I will be volunteering as a green dot ranger. I have received so much transformation from the event, and trauma, fun, enlightenment, and even transmutation of my perception through a Kundalini awakening, so it is time to give what I can back.

I will not be working on opals until I get back, so no more photos. I trust these are boring to most but myself anyway, but! If I find even a tiny bit of opal while mining on the way down to the burn, than I would be satiated, kinda.
I will be finding a larger, brighter and more valuable and rare opal this year. I will post the photos when I get back after I have found it.

Also, a lot of my peeps are not going this year, so the few that are will be seeing more of me than in previous years.
Gina and I are going to be exuding so much lovely sexiness and super solid kick ass rock starness that we will be hard to deal with when we get back. Of course Gina holds 99% of the sexy part, but just the same, it is going to be the best burn yet. I hope to see you there!

Love,

I have reduced Tribe down to a place to view my opals.

I am, and have always been a show off in some manner or other. It is not that I display these opals again and again for your benefit so much as mine. I guess this makes me a bit selfish, and a bit of a show off. But I love to display, to show in person, preferably.

I love to share my passion in this way. I have so many facets and partitions in my sphere of centrical evolution, so I am full to the brim with life, though I am often exhausted with all of the daily tasks, just as you are most likely, and my path is becoming denser and more intense, almost feels like a couple days time squeezed into a few hours sometimes.

And of course this often creates chaos and random energy, which is the fuel of many primal reactionary impulses. This can also create psychic loops that stagnate and muddle your will and utilization of power, make the highs super high, and the lows super low. It is, to quote Morresy, " and the pain was enough, to make a shy bald buddhist reflect and plan a mass murder..".
But suddenly you come back to the now, and you center on creating peace.
So opals are only one of many facets that I use as tools to redirect energy and ground.
The stone is a Andamooka crystal opal. It is well know as the best crystal opal in the world, and I love the rough as much as the cut gem.
Anyway,

peace

But a special happy mother's day to Gina.

I would be typing for years were I to describe the wisdom and compassion, the caring and kind heart, the beauty and sensuality, the patience and perseverance of my companion and mother of the two little ladies we obviously would not have been able to create without Gina's participation.
And we practice with frequent reminders of how to improve on that particular skill.

Manifestation can focus contact on anything, changing everything.

I draw what I need to me, and sometimes it is what I really need, other things can result in ethical blunders in both the physical reality and the spiritual. Ever since I found a certain black opal, I have been attempting to focus manifestation into a passion that I have always held close. I have many passions, and all equally important, though most assume it is all about opal.
I am the luckiest fella in existence, or at least I feel that way.
Just like my wonderful companion and daughters, my love of so many things, it is easier to describe this by using my current reality machine.
I have loved opal and other gemstones, as well as Geology, Astronomy, Volcanology, physics, etc.
When I manifested that black opal last year before the burn, it has led me to more beautiful opal, it at times feels like very rare and valuable opal rough falls into place as I need it. So because of this, I am marketing as a side source of income, which helps my family. and allows me to cut the best opal, most very rare, into my reality.

Anyway, check out my photos to see the progress I am making on a large piece of gem white base opal. This one is special because it has a mackerel sky pattern, and it is getting brighter the more I sand and shape. I have also rubbed on the Washington opal a bit more to see the colors, and I am waiting again for a working lapidary machine, which is why I don't have one right now, because I am too busy with other things to manifest it.
So Ember, bring your ring back to you by seeing it happen, and see it and feel it on your finger knowing you will soon have it back.

I obviously am obsessed with opal among other things, so I am going to post the sequence of creating a gemstone from the rough.
I will post the rough, then the shaped stone, then the finished piece.

This one is White cliffs rough opal. I absolutely love finding old or rare, new or mined out material to work with.
White cliffs is famous for the amount of high quality white base seam opal. in the early quarter of the century. It was prominent to the emergence of Australia as the opal capital of the world. The field also produced "Pineapples" psuedamorphs of opal after Gypsum. Most were broken up for jewelry. There were also a lot of opal fossils found from sharks to cats. The field is for all practical purposes dead now.

This specimen in the photo is you guessed it, from an old timer who recognized my passion and made the opal available.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIFE

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
2. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
3. Follow the three R’s:

    Respect for self
    Respect for others and
    Responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
6. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
8. Spend some time alone every day.
9. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.
10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.
12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
13. In disagreements with loved ones deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.
14. Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.
15. Be gentle with the earth.
16. Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.
17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
19. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

I cut a corner off of the darker piece and hand cabbed with sand paper last night. The photo is blurry, but it is a “low light” gem, meaning that it is brighter in low light. My cabbing machine motor died, and I am much reduced in what I can do for awhile.

This piece of rough is blue base seam opal in a rhyolite and agate matrix. This is a new find, however, the individual who found it has no idea where it was because he thought it was agatized petrified wood. It was tested and found to be a bit harder than Australian opal at a number 7+ on the Mohs scale, with %0.6 water content. which is very low and makes very stable opal. The quallity is as good as any Australian top gem opal.
The seams are thick and clear, with broad-flash in every color and a dark blue to blue black base. I will post what this material looks like cabbed and polished, but I can tell that it will be not only unusual, but very bright and beautiful, and I have several pounds to work with now.

There has not been a claim for this opal. It was found and carried by two individuals who thought it might be agate. They went back and could not find the area, but did find some smaller common blue opal, so I know where to start. I know the area and the geology, and it is a huge area to search, but this was one boulder out of a whole rock-slide of the same, so I will be looking for this deposit with hopes of finding it and placing a claim.

My family has a tradition of going to the coast and gathering wild mushrooms.
This year was wonderful in many ways. It was sunny the entire time, and we found an abundance of Chanterelles, Hedgehogs, King Boletes, and thousands of other kinds of mushrooms.
We found this old growth tree, then walked into the forest shade to find a surprise around every turn.
We were completely at peace and happy as can be, so the healing of the trip was incredible too.
We used our intent and manifested a path that we all created and walked on, it was simply beautiful.

Today finds me in trance with the rain. I know what is out there, and it's time to extend the path forward.
