The daffodils are yellow and bright, the pear trees are about to burst into bloom, the almond tree is blooming pink, and the seedlings have come up and are happily warm in the greenhouse. This year i planted lavendar from seed, and luffa, okra, tree collards, and many more. The green babies seem so happy and it's exciting to think of them growing up into healthy plants in the garden. I've been loving the snow in western oregon, simply watching it fall through the air flake by flake, sometimes floating back and forth across the space like a feather as it takes its time arriving and sometimes coming down with determination like an arrow. I also like the way snow rests on tree branches. It's still a novelty, worth taking time to enjoy.
