After growing up in rural Pennsylvania and graduating university in Pittsburgh, I married, got a job and tried to settle into a career. Too boring. I kept the husband but abandoned the career for a series of oddball contract and freelance jobs in IT and media. In 1998 I landed in Tokyo on a 3 month assignment and haven't left yet. Living in Japan is never dull.
