about me
I work in the Cellular telephone business and teach SCUBA Diving. I've a wealth of experience teaching sports and underwater photography. Although most of what I shoot is underwater, I do like portraiture that conveys something unique about the individual.
The stained glass projects I make, (when I have way too much time on my hands), are original designs and usually composed of small, intricate pieces and difficult cuts. I like the challenge of making something unique.
Toffee c.1990 - 2008
(blog entry)
It’s been a week now, and until this time I haven’t been able to write about it. Toffee, my longtime best friend, confidant and comfort, has moved on to what I hope will be a better place, after a prolonged illness.
I first met Toffee after he...

The Quest
(blog entry)
Virtually everyone I know, at some point or another in their lives, has been involved in a Quest. Sometimes these Quests are as simple as trying to get from point A to B, or to find the car keys. Other Quests can be more daunting; tracing one’s ...

This semester at school I have taken an English writing course. I figured why not post the work product here?
Enjoy!

Birthdays Suck
(blog entry)
It is my fiftieth birthday today and I have to say that this is the first time having a birthday has bothered me. Any logical rational person would say that there is no reasonable cause to alarm myself simply because another year has gone by but…...

I first met Toffee after he popped his head out of a cardboard carry box when I was living in a converted carriage house. He looked at me with the usual cat-distain and immediately began to mentally question me about the whereabouts of his food dish. He was a displaced cat, ...

Virtually everyone I know, at some point or another in their lives, has been involved in a Quest. Sometimes these Quests are as simple as trying to get from point A to B, or to find the car keys. Other Quests can be more daunting; tracing one’s family tree back many generations with only anecdotal oral histories and a few dog-eared photographs as clues, or simply, (yea…right), to woo the person that you’ve identified as your one true love. Most all of these Quests do not have the tumultuou...

I have no fear of water; however I have a healthy respect for it. Years ago I spent some vacation time at Club Med on the beautiful Island of San Salvador, in the Bahamas. While there were many activities available at the Club, my primary purpose there was to enjoy SCUBA diving. I’ve vacationed there many times over the years and enjoyed having all of the...

It is my fiftieth birthday today and I have to say that this is the first time having a birthday has bothered me. Any logical rational person would say that there is no reasonable cause to alarm myself simply because another year has gone by but….damn, I just can’t seem to shake this off.
As a joke to my co-workers I dressed all in black today, a symptom of my sometimes-morbid sense of humor. In the past, whenever I was asked my age, I replied that I was 21 with a few years of experience...

I don't even know how long I've known you, my friend...4 years now? We have experienced each other's lives though e-mails and phone calls from 3000 miles away chit-chatting about nothing and everything. But one thing is for sure...you have been a constant source of strength and friendship in my life ever since we "met". And even though our busy schedules have prevented us from talking as much as we did in the past, you are never far away from my thoughts and alwys in my heart. Cheers! xoxo
