about me
I enjoy World Music and improvisational music of nearly all varieties. I studied music theory in high school and college and I'm currently enjoying learning about classical Indian and Middle Eastern music theory in relation to that. I don't play any one instrument at a "pro" level but I've reached "local garage band" level of skill on several! And I admit that I rely too much on playing genres/instruments that my audiences are usually not expertly familiar with to cover up for my extremely amateur playing. There's a reason my violin stays on the mantle!
But this website has been an enormous help, I've learned SO much through this community! I'm here to improve the instruments I already play, find even more new ones to play and possibly find more people to play with.

I finally finished enough songs that I'm happy with to fill a decent sized CD and I'm happy to say the CD has already shown up on iTunes and other major MP3 outlets! The songs on the album are mostly influenced by the Middle East and India and I've tried to cover a wide range of moods and tempos. 14 songs for ten bucks isn't bad so please check it out when you have a chance! And I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it!
