for some odd reason, part of Tommy (yes, the rock opera by the Who) was running through my head today. when i got home, i pulled out the lp (yes, vinyl) that someone had given to me, or that i bought very inexpensively, some time ago. i think it's the first time i've played it. anyway, what i found was this:

it's a 'promotional copy', meaning

a) it's a certainty that it's original issue (AND it's in perfect condition).
b) for some reason, promotional copies are worth more to the collectors out there.

so, how does this affect me? well, it doesn't. i didn't waste my time and money amassing the collection i have just so i can sell it. i just thought i'd 'share' with you all...
