March 10th is the 51st anniversary of Tibetan Uprising Day, commemorating the 1959 Tibetan uprising in Lhasa against the Chinese in Tibet. The uprising resulted in a violent crackdown in Tibet and the Dalai Lama's escape into exile in India.
