better to be stirred than shaken...I have never seen a wild Orchid or a truly wild alligator....orchids are sooo beautiful..finally went to the SF Orchid show for the first time...it was amazing..I'll post a photo soon.

Nope, never seen a wild gator and if I do I hope I won't be swimming. But I have seen wild orchids growing over in the Islands. Seriously beautiful flowers. Lay down and let the smell just overtake you.
Best thing that's happened to me lately is the parts came in for the old Lopi woodburner and I put it back together (not easy with a busted-up shoulder) and it's burning better than it has since I moved here five years ago! It's been in the 30s at night and mostly 40s-50s during the day with lots of rain and wind and clouds so the mornings are positively chilly. Having it running again is wonderful! |

i just found the calypso orchid, which im pretty sure is the only native orchid in the pacific northwest- the stalks are bright pink & the flowers are maybe the size of a pencil eraser, immaculately beautiful...

no orchids here, but lilacs, irises and corn flowers.. butterflies and lady bugs..- my cats chasing each other across the lawn, the frog croaking heartily- my daughter has found the "tinker laboratory" and will be tinkering and inventing.. that makes me happy..

Our new puppy Samuel "Wonderpet" Magill
Got an Australian Shepherd with my fiance after not having dogs for a lifetime.
Sam is teaching us so much everyday. He's helping me with patience, discipline, and trusting my guy. It's been a good experience. |
