Calgary's First and Only Visual Kei Band Wants YOU! ( community » musicians ) We are Laja'Bless, Calgary's first and only Visual Kei band. We are in the beginning stages of forming an amazing band with an amazing vision. We want to incorporate theatrical elements like costuming, smoke/mirrors/dramatic lighting, props, and acting with a gothic aristocratic theme, visually similar to Versailles and Malice Mizer. Musically, our ideal is to create dramatic contrast between different elements; we may include melodic kotekote kei style vocals (in Japanese), unusual traditional instruments such as shamisen, koto, snake charmer, harpsichord, hurdy gurdy, et cetera with harder elements such as electric guitar, synthesizer, hissing industrial vocals, electronic beats, drum and bass beats on darbuka/tabla, and other electronic elements.

We currently have a keyboardist/vocalist (me) and a guitarist. We currently seek:

-A kit drummer

-A musician who plays an unusual instrument such as those listed above

-Possibly a bassist, although I can do bass on my keyboard as well posted Sat, October 17, 2009 - 10:05 PM
