Well I took the plunge this weekend and bought a new motorcycle...a Ducati Monster. Buying motorcycles in these times of high fuel prices might seem almost practical. In relative terms, yes they are somewhat practical. On my ride home I got about 40mpg on the highway. I am still breaking her in so no revving past 6000 rpm. Help me decide...

In the spirit of the American Dream, I'm in the market for a really cool bike and willing to make payments. I've been riding for about 15 years and I believe it is time I bought a really cool bike. Some of you know I have more than a couple of bikes, but none as cool as a Ducati. I am interested in hearing your opinions and advice. The two finalists are neck and neck in my personal scorecard.

Rough few days

I feel a bit roughed up after a few days. Last Saturday I burned my leg on a hot exhaust pipe while working on my motorcycle. Today I had a cyst taken out of my left butt cheek. So what did I do after my little "procedure?" I sat on a few Ducati motorcycles trying to decide if I wanted to buy one.

I got to look at my cyst after it was removed. It didn't feel large when it was attached, but it looked HUGE in the specimen jar. My doctor thinks it may have been an old ingrown hair. I forgot ... read more

It's done

I took my Spanish final so I'm done, let the chips fall where they may...

Don't get me wrong. I'm so jealous of you guys who have college degrees. I just can't seem to balance work and school thing. I don't even have kids! Well, human kids. So I'm gonna take a semester off and try to return for the Spring semester. For now, I'm just gonna try and enjoy the rest of the year watching motorcycle racing ;-)

I feel like a dope

After crunching the numbers it appears I won't have enough to pass Spanish 1 even if I ace the final. Totally my fault. The professor granted extensions to a few lessons and I interpreted that to mean the following lessons were being pushed back. So in order not to be late for the next "due" chapter, I had to skip a couple. Well that bit me in the ass. I think this is the last straw for my "online college" experience.
