about me
I'm a Tribal Style Belly Dancer just like the rest, done Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz, Yoga, a touch of many things but have been focusing on Tribal. Like all dancers who live in places that are smaller, I teach, but I hate the thought of never learning so I'll always be a student.

When I perform, I call it Urban Performance Tribal, which is a horribly wanky way of saying I stick to no one particular style, but use what I can do and others can offer to create something enjoyable to watch ... or so I hope.

Psychological hedonism is the view that humans are psychologically constructed in such a way that we exclusively desire pleasure. Ethical hedonism is the view that our fundamental moral obligation is to maximize pleasure or happiness.

Another exciting event from New Zealand:

The Gypsies travel the world collecting dancers, oddities and performers to create an entertaining sideshow for you. From the wilds of Borneo, across the flamenco sky, into the haunting melodies of Malta, through the pounding middle eastern drums and into the bohemian melodies they entrap the living to provide the most freakish of entertainment.

Well its only a few days until we leave for TribalFest and I'm starting to feel the panic that I haven't done enough work before hand, feel like I should have researched vendors more and picked different workshops gack !! kind of toolate now.

I regret not taking Rachel's intensive series, but I wanted the chance to take classes with other teachers on at clashing times, will it be worth it I wonder ?

Performance has me nervous, duets are hard and I think we need to practice more.

How... read more

So after having a cold for a week (ten days) and thinking I was over it, I have this awesome day of dance only to wake at 2 am with an ear ache which leads to me having an ear drum infection ... grrrr. These are painful and leave me spacial-challenged, dinged the car once already (so perhaps no more driving).

Dance has been going relatively well and I hope to maintain this over the upcoming 12 months, with a focus on keeping students and keeping them happy, positive and challenged (b danc... read more
