about me
What can I say here really, except... I am a living conundrum, if you don't pay attention. I was looking at this pair of shutters. They were slightly worn and hung just a little off kilter. They had a dozen coats of paint on them. Weather had chipped away layers of paint here and there, showing rainbows of colors underneath. The hinges were rusty and broken, allowing them to tilt a bit to the left. I realize this is just a poetic metaphor of my mind. So, yeah... I am the quirky type.

Beyond the poetic whatnot: Yes, I am a happy hippie. Professional by day, happy most of the time and hippie by philosophy; I enjoy life and choose to involve myself in experiences rather than sit on the sidelines. I spin a 5' fire staff. It is one of my passions and I absolutely love lighting up! It is such an adrenaline rush to hear the fire swoosh by your ears and know you are manipulating the dance of a small monster. I sing occasionally with a band. I research things that interest me to learn more about them and how they relate to my life. I enjoy interacting with others who share similar passions and ideals as myself and gaining knowledge about myself through those interactions.

Re: Alchemy FUNdraiser lost hat (in Alchemy - The Georgia Burn) You might contact the gallery itself. www.bluetowergallery.com I think we had a hat that could not be accounted for and left it there in case it was one of the staff members at the gallery.

Re: advice for taking infants to the burn? (in Transformus) It saddens me greatly. Tunna and I requested a refund. Not only do we miss out on kids, but parents of kids as well. I loved so much seeing the kids at the party. The kids area had all sorts of fun stuff going on and kids seemed to really enjo... read more

My Blog

It's been about 3 weeks and I still am kinda numb. There is only one thing I know for certain... you all have been amazing! Everyone has been so wonderful and so supportive. It has blown me away with all of your emails, phone calls and just simple "hiyas, I am thinking about you."

My heart continues to melt and feel so full. Thank you. Thank all of you. My Mom would be proud of all the special and kind people I have met.

It surprised me, when I really got into Transformus and then B... read more

As I was walking to my car tonight after work, I heard this pitiful "mew mew mew" coming from near my car.

It was coming from under the hood of the car next to mine. I knew whose car it was and made a beeline into Scottrade to have her bring her keys outside. We popped the hood and down in the engine, behind the manifold, was this little black and white mewing foofball. This kitten had been in the car all day, took a trip down to Marietta from Woodstock (down 75 no less) and seemed ok, but... read more

Rahja was euthanized at 6pm 6/6/07, in my arms. There was nothing that could be done. His kidneys had failed to the point there was no recovery options available.

I have his fur from behind his ears. It was my kissy spot. And I am hoping to cremate him and see if Mudfire would allow me come in and make something to put his ashes in.
