about me
Im easily distracted but very easy going and fun loving also. A friend once told me my totem animal should be a golden retriever. "Smart but not brilliant and loyal till the end." Im still not sure how to take that comment.
Terrified Children
(blog entry)
YAY so every year a close friend of mine and his family turn their old horse barn into a scare fest for children. Its a totally free event for the kids and their friends, but MMMMM we have a great time scaring them outta their skins. Each year we ...

So I hit myself for the first time while burning the other night. I gotta say I am SOOO glad to have finally gotten that fear outta the way. Unfortunately I did it late in the spin which ment my poi were REALLY hot. I hit myself right in the armpi...

Surgery
(blog entry)
Cant really say Im nervous about an outpatient surgery. Although, the thought of a local does make me twinge a little. I mean I haveve had stitches 7 or 8 times in my life, but that wasnt cause someone else cut me. Normally its because I alre...

My First Blog

Lemme start by saying that expressing myself in writing does not come easy. I've lost contact with many a wonderful person over the years because I have trouble expressing myself in writing. Not to mention being a perfectionist makes it diffic...

YAY so every year a close friend of mine and his family turn their old horse barn into a scare fest for children. Its a totally free event for the kids and their friends, but MMMMM we have a great time scaring them outta their skins. Each year we try and get enough people to volunteer a little of their time on the weekends before the event (Oct. 20th this year) to set up all the spookiness. The we try and find as many volunteers to help scare the kids, entertain the kids, walk the kids thru t...

So just today I found this link to a Poi weekend retreat. www.playpoi.com/poi_retreats Personally I thought the idea was dreamy. I would so love to spend a weekend doing almost nothing but poi, dance, and movement studies. Just thinking about it gives me anxious knots in my stomach. To be able to put some serious study time into poi, and I dont mean solo studies, I mean SERIOUS proffesional grade studies. The kind to develope my abilities to a point where I could teach workshops classe...

So I hit myself for the first time while burning the other night. I gotta say I am SOOO glad to have finally gotten that fear outta the way. Unfortunately I did it late in the spin which ment my poi were REALLY hot. I hit myself right in the armpit. It burnt me ever so lightly and the smell of singed armpit hair just stuck with me the whole rest of the evening. I also noticed I have a habbit of letting my adrenaline get to me and I start spinning too fast. I watched the video my friend Mike t...

Cant really say Im nervous about an outpatient surgery. Although, the thought of a local does make me twinge a little. I mean I haveve had stitches 7 or 8 times in my life, but that wasnt cause someone else cut me. Normally its because I already busted myself open. Im rather good at that you know. Falls, collisions, impalings.
Dont worry its only a few lipoma being removed from my forearms. Unsightly yet harmless fatty tumors. Most people dont even notice them unless I point them o...

Not to mention being a perfectionist makes it difficult to accept my crappy handwriting. Let alone allowing anyone else to see it. But moving on....
I gotta say Pennsic 35 turned out to be the best ever in the entire 11-12 years Ive been going. It started kinda slow but picked up fast. I followed...

Saiful and I were friends for over 9 years before we started dating. In that time as friends, I learned him to be honest, funny, intelligent, thoughtful, kind, gentlemanly, silly, creative, sweet and just all around a wonderful man. He is incredibly loyal and so very supportive. We're now married and I can honestly say all those things (and more) are true...AND he's gorgeous! How'd I get so lucky?
