My Testimonials

December 7, 2006
Jesus is my personal saviour. Seriously, He smiles so brightly, and makes a newbie dancer feel like they are doing it right, even as their insides are turning to jello, and they might pass out at any second. Just look up, and Jesus is there, smiling and encouraging. *sighs*
It was fantastic.:)

What are you chasing? (blog entry) "Spirit" is a funny word. It seems to imply being full of life, or motivation, like a "spirited discussion," or a "spirited horse." It's at the root of the word "inspiration," which is the term that describes the genesis of any movement of will. I... read more

Serenity (blog entry) God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I ran accross this note I wrote to myself in haste some time ago, and thought I ought to share it:

Respect for entropy (blog entry) Recycle, reduce, reuse, right?
I hate to see anything potentially useful go to waste. Even if something's broken, it might still serve another purpose. Inspiration for lots of great art arises from the junkyard.
But this respect for art and unwi... read more

Make your time (blog entry) I was talking to my dad. Sometimes he gets to thinking, and we'll talk if we've got the time. I'm not quite sure what was on his mind, but he asked me,
"What did you think of your childhood?"
I can't say enough nice things about my childhood. We... read more

"Spirit" is a funny word. It seems to imply being full of life, or motivation, like a "spirited discussion," or a "spirited horse." It's at the root of the word "inspiration," which is the term that describes the genesis of any movement of will. It looks to me like any spirit is the source or result of values! (This implies that a spirit does not exist objectively...) Our personal spirit, or soul if you prefer, would seem to be what moves us to live. To look truthfully at yourself and find ou... read more

There's the world, and then there's you. You have control of the choices you make, and those choices have power. How much power do you allow the world to have over your choices?

You're going to die. That's a fact. How you deal with that fact ... read more

But this respect for art and unwillingness to let go is the reason I'm typing with one hand now.

Sometimes, if something's broken, you've just got to let it die.

I can't say enough nice things about my childhood. We weren't rich or anything, but we never starved, so I had an appreciation for everything we had. My folks were always cool, and let me explore my world and learn at my own pace.

Life has always been very good to me.
So we talked about stuff, and... read more

It's the only proper way to live! I know that! What am I waiting for? I want to acquire precision. I want to live impeccably. I want to gather my power and marshall my focus. What am I waiting for?
