I'm a laid-back 37 year old gay man living in SF for about 14 years. I have strong geek tendencies and a subtle, ironic sense of humor. I am a thinker and obsever, sometimes too much of both, and am trying to become more active and engaged in life. I am into bears but consider myself more of a cub.

Electronic music of many kinds forms the soundtrack to most of my life, although forays into alt-pop (Bjork, Ladytron) and rock are not uncommon (Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails). My favorite music is best termed abstract techno, which to me includes genres like IDM, ambient, and much techno. Abstract yet danceable music is nice too. I spend my commute time either playing my PSP or reading. Science is my favorite genre to read. I like books that investigate the world and our place in it. Specifically I like books on evolution, anthropology, linguistics, and neuroscience. I enjoy talking about these topics as well.
