I was sitting in my little chair watching American Idol tonight ( a secret little vice I have- no telling) and thinking "if only I were younger", I would have auditioned. Then My little chair kicked me in the hinney, and said, good thing it wasn't around when you were younger- would you really have wanted to do that???? I thought long and hard about that, then I sang a bit. The moon didn't explode, but, Yah, it was probably a good thing......smart little chair...

The What....

I found my little chair at a garage sale last summer. It was marked at $5.00. I just can't pay what anything is marked at a garage sale- i'ts almost like they price stuff so you will ask a better price. I look at it as a challenge to see if I can talk them down, but I digress.
My little chair is exactly that- a miniature old school house chair- it would hold a big doll perfectly, and it holds my rear end unusually well. It sits by the fire, and I sit in it every night, again, by the fire. There is something about this chair- not sure quite what it is, but it makes me think when I sit in it. Possibly, it's the history of it, it's "life as a chair"- possibly, it's the history of me- whatever it is, it makes me THINK. I would like to post my thoughts whilst in my little chair here- if for nothing else- for me to look at them once in a while and know what has gone on in my mind at any given time.
By the way- I paid $2.00 for her.......
