a group went out to the playa last weekend
and ran into another group
and another
everybody itching to burn
mr. toast got torched
a band played
we brought a swimming pool
to chill
in the heat of the day
good friends.

after the fact

i read in venice at beyond baroque on friday. sorry, i should have posted earlier in case anybody wanted to show up. but my dear friend, amalio madueno showed up from taos new mexico! what a surprise. afterwards, we downed double shots of patron to celebrate friendships.
also poet, gwendolyn alley, drove down with me from ventura. and raphael alvarado's 'moe green world poetry' show is going to let me host amalio and gwendolyn for an april show. so this time, i'll give a better heads up and try to show a link.

crazy last weekend

between volunteering at spike's vampire bar party at the supperclub in sf. and getting my window bashed out as i slept in my car on the street (didn't want to get a dui!) and seeing a dear friend, clayton bailey, in crockett and hearing of his retrospective at the crocker museum in sacramento when they have completed their addition 3 years from now (his will be thet first show there) to trying to go camping at half moon bay but finding all the campgrounds full (all 2 of them) but 'making do' with a motel room near the shore, eating clam chowder at the flying fish, and doing some early xmas shopping...it was a wonderful weekend!!!
