My best friend is currently on trial for some bad choices in a desperate time. he is looking at 2-3 decades and has no real resources in providing legal help for himself, despite having health issues that could be construed as 'mitigating' circumstances. i am in the middle of piecing my own life back together after my own period of depression and self-destruction, with a baby on the way, and the knowledge that i could easily have been in his shoes if a few things went differently. he was ...

i find it a little strange to see all the burning man backlash as i journey around tribe. granted, that event isn't for everyone, but the bashing and complaints about it seem to be a bit too much. if it isn't for you, don't go. don't want to hear about it? quit talking to people who go. i don't go to church, but i don't get bent out of shape if my friends do, and since it is a part of their lives, they talk about it.

it has taken me three months, 4 email addresses, and many, many attempts to get onto tribe and i am finally here. problem is that now that i am here, the only friend i have on here is now in jail for awhile. it may (and does) detract from my joy, but will not deter me from staying here and making all that i can from it. so,
