I'm a nerd, which is to say that I'm madly in love with the specific, and all too frequently miss the big picture.

On a good day, I'll admit that reality itself is a mutually constructed social edifice, but, that said, I would prefer to talk about those bits of reality that deal in "how your hometown used to smell on a rainy day" or "how to make good bread pudding" rather than say, "linguistics" or "philosophy."

I am also fond of archaic terminology. Especially nautical terminology that is actually a metaphor for sexual behavior.
