Cleverly disguised as the Thousand-Legged Goddess of Many Pants, Amanda has actually been revealed to be the Sweet Goddess of Loving Kindness. Hers is a very rare gentle soul that blesses everyone she touches, and reminds me how much beauty and magic are out there waiting to be believed in again. She has made such an exquisite difference in my life. I secretly dream of flying to Wisconsin to just show up in one of her dance classes, so I could finally be blessed with her squeal of joy and a great big giggle pounce hug. I adore Amanda with all my heart and wish she was my sister.

Last night while we were rehearsing I was practicing my floorwork backbends, and Amanda was spotting me. As I lowered my head to the floor she had her arms under me, ready to catch if I faltered or fell.

I suddenly realized that this is an analogy for Amanda as a friend. She is there for you, watching and helping, ready to catch you if you fall, and willing to pull you back up if you get stuck. What an amazing quality that is about Amanda. How lucky I am that she is my friend!
