I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from California Polytechnic State University, and work as a Certified Strenght and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Martial Arts Instructor. Im a pretty well rounded individual, with interests ranging from science, music, and the martial arts. At a young age, I discovered that inside me resided a talent for music and the arts. In fact, I began playing piano at age five, and branched out to playing cello at age twelve until I discovered my master instrument, the drums, at age sixteen. I played professionally for ten years, and still enjoy causing mass hearing loss to my onlookers.

During my years as a musician, I entertained the idea of becoming a professional illustrator, but after years of drawing and painting, I rediscovered science through biology and decided to change my academic and professional goals. Also during this time, I began studying the Martial Arts with an emphasis on the weapon arts of Kendo (Japanese), Fencing (European), and my master art of Eskrima (Filipino), in which I currently offers private lessons.

I became interested in personal training and physical therapy when I realized that my love of science and anatomy paired nicely with teaching athletic activities, such as martial arts, and was a great formula for helping others overcome physical difficulties. I know all too well what it means to suffer setbacks in the form of injuries, such as shoulder pain, tennis elbow, and skiers thumb (my own required extensive orthopedic surgery).

Of course my fire background really started at age 6 when my parents couldnt stop me from burning all my toys, and my love for flame became ever stronger as I got older. My good friend Grog intoduced me to fire poi spinning, and then thats when it clicked. My love for club dance, my drumming, my martial arts, and my toy burning suddenly came together like a synergistic cyclone, and I have never looked back. I keep evolving, trying to learn from our current masters I see at the big burn.

I have overcome many injuries, and used to empathize with all of the patients at my physical therapy clinic. As a Salinas native, I stay happy by burning things, playing with sharp objects, training Doberman Pinchers and giving back to my very own community by helping others overcome injuries and achieve positive, life-changing results.
Currently I work as a personal fitness trainer at the renown golf resort Pebble Beach, at the Beach and Tennis Club. Thanx to Bash @ Creative Flame Co. I also get to rock my fire act up and down the California Coast!
