High Jasmine Incense Batch
Wed, June 18, 2008 - 8:33 PMit is light, white, pure, and heavenly; did I mention therapeutic?
the bases are White Cedar, dark Sandalwood (gives it a beige,) and Orris Root (yes I put this iris root in all my incenses)
Many forms of Natural Jasmine oils and such (heh a little mystery ;-)
many camphorous materia cardamon seeds, borneol camphor (now that's pure,) and some wild sagebrush I collect myself in the high mountains of Nevada
a pinch of amber (adds a little sweetness)
Apricot Flower Essence cuz it's ((((((vibrational))))))
oh my my it's delicious
dunno when my olfactory senses have been so pleased
the mixture of the wet floral Jasmine
with the crisp light camphors are nothingless than divine
and Jasmine helps one breathe deeper
and it's apleasure to meditate on these breaths

Sounds wonderful! How long have you been making incense? Do you make them just for your own enjoyment, or do you sell them as well?
Eventually I'd love to devote some time to learning the art. It's a big time commitment I can't really make right now, as I'm focusing on other things. A dear friend of mine also blends beautiful incenses. It sounds like you're one to appreciate quality resins and oils, and fine hand crafting.
