Passing along the word to bring healing for our Mother Earth

Darlene Courchene was contacted by Gilles Novaks who is a Montagnais Indian from Montreal .
He is a Medicine Man and a Healer. He has asked that we get as many Tribal people to participate in a worldwide ceremony called the "8,000 Drums"as possible.
He was contacted by two Huron Clan Grandmothers from up there in Canada and they asked him to help spread the word to all Indians everywhere.
It will take place on March 21, 2008 at 12:00 noon.
All you need to do is play a drum either alone, or with a group or have the whole Tribe participate.
The purpose is to fulfill the OTOMI PROPHECY. The Otomi's are Mayan Olmec and Toltec descendants.
The drums will be played so that the Creator will hear us and grant our wishes as we pray for help in the Healing Process of our Mother Earth. People are destroying Her and our Mother Earth needs our prayers.

Tribal Experience

Let's slow down a little here and stop and think!

I have not been here for long but since I have several things have changed in my life
which have shown me something worth a mention.
One of my First Encounters was contacting another Shaman on here
to get advice about an Initiation Problem I was having.
I didnt know the Guy, have never met him and went on pure instinct.

He replied and said he could help,
the next thing I had a strong vision of my eldest Totem,
one i was given way back in the early days.
The vision was so strong, it was almost as if one could reach out
and touch Physically.

I contacted the fellow Shaman and said hey dude,
I had a vision of you snorting a herbal Powder in the Jungle and
then saw my Totem in a strong vision,
did you send it to me ?

Gently he replied
I have been doing stuff like this for years.
I thanked him and I was told I was welcome.
I have not contacted him since.
Nor him Me.

From there I met another person and explained a project for this year.
Again a positive response which has now transpired to a lovely friendship and
a Future for both of us with ongoing Spiritual potential.

I then began joining Threads and posting stuff.
Some of my comments were readily accepted some challenged.
Now this was a real key.
Here I learnt that I had come here to learn and teach.
To develop and grow.
be amongst those like minded.

All the while I sat here thinking how lazy it was to be at the keyboard so much,
yet I considered all of this a part of my work.
A way to share, benefit and grow with others like myself.

Then we had a pretty shitty posting which I think rocked many.
Something had changed,
animosity became present.
Views expressed with a deep rooted Passion.

Then in the gut wrenching Position it dawned on me
what was to learn from this.

Embrace the Shit as you would The Heart.

So I lifted myself and accepted these things happen.
It is Life or a part thereof.
Looking back I now see Diplomacy,
Support from others,
Understanding, but most a deeper Commitment.

I then was asked if I would Consider Moderating Shamanism here.
I said Yes but on the condition it was put fairly out to a vote.
this made me realise how much Tribe and its people had helped me
to grow as I had helped others.
More People came up with Deeper comments,
the Threads regained Interest.
Instead of being a Complaints Commision.

Obviously I felt happy to be asked but instantly
looked at the responsibility of such.
While some would take it in their stride,
I was looking from a more Serious View.
A Little nervous perhaps but willing to do what I could.
The result, strangely didnt really matter,
either way i would be as i am.
my path and any Obstacles would still be there.

Then came another vision,
all of us here in our Astral Bodies,
sat Together in laughter, Discussion,
Love and Trust.

The Warriors were not ego maniacs looking for a Pub Brawl
but gentle Types ready to defend whatever it was that might need it.
Healers working on others and restoring Balance on all levels.
people Meditating, eating, Singing and drumming.
dancing beside large Fires, Sunrises and Full Moons.
Rattles and Rituals, the whole works.
In one large open Space.

I then realised thats exactly what is happening.
We all go there,
we all do it.
We apply thought and emotion here.
Energy is Created.

I came back to reality and saw how much I had really
achieved while it all appeared to be nothing.
It was obvious others must be doing the same in one way or another.
So where exactly were we ?
I'm guessing the Upperworld Somewhere.
I'm not really sure.
It could even be a massive illusion.
Whatever, it was helping.
Inspiring and making my mental faculties take
Serious Notice of what we all do.
despite experience, tradition, Age or Skin Colour.

We were here as one.
Shamans and Students Together,
if we choose to label ourselves as such.
All that we do here is all Ok
and there is no doubt in my mind that,
we are communicating through Intuition,
we all believe strongly in what we do.
We all have a Passion.where this stuff is concerned.

We are all growing according to our will.
So, we are a Tribe, possibly a lucky one.
Why ?
We have each other.
We can offer Advice.
We are all of use to each other in some way or another.
We all share and give as freely as we can.
We all want to live in a safer place,
where greed is abolished,
True Sins healed.
Where there is always room to learn.

Is not this what we have all been searching for, for so long.
Is this not what we all wanted, A tribal Enviroment.
Yet we brought it from traditional Roots and Bombarded
the Electronic Waves with Shamanic Wisdom.
That has to be a good thing.

This Winter was somewhat harsh yet most productive.
When the Shit hit the fan,
we pulled together as one.
providing what was needed to resolve Issues.
We thought about it and offered Changes so as to grow again in Love.

We have stood up to be counted,
we have shown those hells Bent on Wrecking The Planet that,
we are here, and have the ability to respond.
Responsibility !

We are a tribe and need
No leaders,
No Followers.
No Gurus,
We are the Miracle we are Creating.

Looking back now at the bigger picture,
I thank that original Shaman for what he lead me too that day,
The Growth and Responsibilty it has brought me.
I thank everyone here for being who they are and what they do.
Just because we are not in the Amazon Jungle,
we can still operate in the Concrete one.
Effectively.

Thats a Tribe to be reckoned with,
almost 4000 strong and growing.

I Hold Up My Hands !

While working hard and somewhat getting bored,
I delved into my music collection and found some stuff I buried years ago.
For the first time in Years I let the Old Goth slip and refound my Roots
in some Techno Trance Music.

So one enters the soundscape
and begins to explore the inner realms and
memories of my early days studying Shamanism.
Out in the Woods all week and back to Clubland at the weekends !
Visions of Self, Books and making Healing Wands.
Sitting amongst Trees and helping friends with Problems,
Dealing with my own crap and searching for that deeper Love.
I'd even been paid in food once !
Very Traditional LOL

While in this Trance I realised that I had in fact been an Urban Shaman myself!
I saw how much I had grown and changed since then,
how throughout all this, My roots had been firmly placed.
These were things and events which made me happy.
Others were doing the same.
A division of Concioussness was occuring.

While some were learning to deal with themselves,
others were simply not going to bother.
Those people were so obvious, so mundane.
So trapped within their own lives.

Just like the Punk Era, The Clubbers were having a Ball ..................
Positive Rebellion in large Numbers.
All done with sound and music.

I remember being so aware at the time ,
that this was in fact a revival of Shamanistic Knowledge developed
to suit a Modern Age.
A way for People to return to Nature and Tribe.

Now if I had not posted that blog would I have had this realisation ?
A message of sorts to guide me in my teaching,
a reminder that Shamanism can be light hearted and fun
as well as hard work and dangerous at times.

The point being, we are all getting it right and always have done.
Traditional Roots are the same Roots used in Core Shamanism.
Yet Traditional Shamanism will always present a tougher Initiation Process,
simply because of Enviromental factors.
We just swapped the Traditional Jungle for the Concrete Variety.
The laws are the same.
People behave according to their Enviroment and will unite against anything
they do not see fits into Society.

So Shamanism had little choice but to become disguised and urbanised for the sake of its own survival.
Deforestation will eventually make Shamanism Obsolete, we are here to make sure that doesn't happen.
To do that we have a genuine place for Urban Shamanism in Modern Life.

Now it all begins to make sense.

We are all one and that is what I have remembered here amongst all of you.
We have done enough Dividing and Labelling between our own Traditions and Views.
Now is the time to Unite and Unify,
facing the Present and Future Together as One.
