Personally, I enjoyed my time serving on jury duty--ok, well, "enjoyed" is not quite the right word. But it was a very interesting and valuable experience.

I'm with Kim. I find jury duty to be interesting. And then there's the civic duty part of it too.

I've been called several times - but then I call the day before and the case has been settled or whatever. I live in a county that doesn't have too many trials. Lucky me!

I suppose, "Funny you should mention it... I fell in love with a dealer this summer, and we both support legalization" would work too... but I suppose that could get one into a bit of trouble LOL.

Yah know, I wouldn't have minded so much if they stil *paid* something fer jury duty (the county quit funding that, of course, of course...)

And the last time I served *was* interesting -- a civil case involving a car accident and lingering injuries -- took everything I could muster to not interject my *personal* knowledge of that particular subject and just judge *only* on the merits of what had been presented in court, tho [shrugs]...
