The first time I saw Courtnay was on a bus in Berkeley - she was punk as fuck - white makeup - ratted out hair - black jeans. I thought "Right On!" She was a total bad ass in High School - an original riot grrl, no poseur, no bullshit. I loved hanging out with her - she always had something funny to say sitting on the steps, smoking our between class cigarettes. She was especially funny to the skater punks who all had crushes on her. She may look pretty and clean now - but watch out! I know she's still a bad ass! You can take the chick out of punk, but....
