Fischerspooner has at least one or two songs you've heard on the radio somewhere. They sound a teeny bit like portishead, but with different vocals. I mixed/recorded this live at my home studio on 3 pioneer CDJ's, a pioneer mixer, and a desktop CPU. This mix was recorded live. Its full of expansive melody, lengthy breakdowns, and epic buildups. Its the kind of trance I enjoyed listening to long before I ever touched a record. I was inspired to complete this mix (which has been kicking around in the back of my head for a while) by a new friend of mine. Recently I've been a busybody and have produced a bunch of mixes that I really liked. Figured I'd take a moment to drop them on here for sharing! I switched jobs a year ago so that I could work with a boss that I liked, got support from, and that sort of stuff. Well, he is quitting next week, and moving to Montana. Its taken a couple of days, but now that i'm used to it, I'm ok with it. I figure, anywhere else where your boss leaves creates a promotion opportunity. A chance to manage more, be in charge more, advance your career. Well, this is no different. Sure, I lose guidance and support, but I'm ready to take on some of his old responsibilities. We'll see how this one shakes out. My next step is to negotiate the types and amount of support that I'm going to get from other people in the office. I should know how this works out about 6 months from now.
