about me
I am, as some might say with tongue firmly embedded in cheek, a many fauceted individual. So if you genuinely are interested (to boldly spit the infinitive) in finding out about me, we will have to chitchat. I lived through the ninties and found the woman in me; she's a lesbian.

Re: A question/those who have told someone about their limerence

"She responds: isn't that the opposite of coping? "
One of the wonderful things about kids is they have such great BS detectors. They cut right to the chase.
My response to her is, "Well, yes and no.. Is denial the opposite of coping, or i...

Re: and here we go again!
(in Limerence Experienced)
Choices. We all make choices. I am chosing to not let my imagination rule my life. I am choosing to face each day with eyes open, accepting of what is, instead of dreaming of what might be, or what I wish it would be, or thinking about what it cou...

Re: fear of being alone and/or rejected
(in Limerence Experienced)
I am not an EX - limerant. I believe limerance, (or at least, limerant tendencies) is like drug addiction or alchoholism, or nicotine addiction. You are never "cured", you are merely in remission, and must take each day as it comes. I believe I s...

I am enthralled by little pins of cold that dissipate on my tongue. The crisp air tingles my nostrils, as I gaze into the soft grey sky. The flakes are tiny. They float lazily down, and sparkle for an instant before disappearing into the strands of grass. The silence is palpable. "This is it", I think to myself. "This is the real snow I have been waiting for ever since that first wet, sticky mess in November." I want to laugh out loud, and sing , and shout into the sky. But it would be almo...

I'm not sure how to describe the essential spark. I can describe some of the symptoms of the spark, though: It is the feeling of warmth and excitment that makes me break into a silly grin as soon as I see the person, or even think of her, for that matter. It is thinking of her at odd moments, when what I am doing has nothing to do with her or any experience we have shared, or hope to someday share. It is waking up in the morning, and wondering what she is doing, how she is feeling, etc., befo...

Tuesday AM a week ago, was awakened from a sound sleep with a terrific pain in my right chest. It started at my sternum, and wrapped all the way around to my spine. In 2000, I had pulled a muscle while shoveling snow. This felt the same. So I dug around in the medicine cabinet, and found the Cyclobenzaprine left over from the last episode. Took two of those and went back to bed. By Wednesday, I was starting to feel a little better, so just made it through the day with Motrin. The rest of the ...

I just sent a long message to Paidia, outlining some of my beliefs, and decided I should put them here, for all to read and comment (or not) as they see fit.
I believe the Law of Conservation of Energy and Matter is the only law. In my words, "Energy and matter can be neither created, nor destroyed. They can however, be altered from one state to another if acted upon by an outside force. Absent an acting force, things tend to remain as they are at any given moment in time." (Newtonian phy...
