Softball?

Tonight was the fourth game of a shortened season for my softball team. As of right now, I am batting .333 for the season. I am 4 for 12 with 4 rbi's. Eariler I went two for four with 2 rbi's. Last week I stank up the field going 0 for 4, 4 men left on base. Uggggghhhhhh!

Music????

I just bought a couple new albums(used cd's), and they are turning out to be pretty good! Forgive the groups or artists if you don't like, but to me, music calms, soothes, enrages, lifts, and validates me! To use a line from "Jerry Maguire", music -"you complete me!"

Sponge--Rotting Pinata
Edwin--Another Spin Around The Sun
Avril Levigne--Let Go
Orignal Soundtrack--"Legend"
I Mother Earth--Quicksilver Meat Dream
Pretty cool mix of things.

Hi

Hey there, last week in NY, we visited Ground Zero! As i was standing there, reading the posters left by New York City outlining the tragic events of 9/11/2001, I started to cry.
I was remembering the day I awoke to a new world. A world where everything changed in 2 hours! My cousins are volunteer firemen in New Jersey. After talking to them last week, they relayed stories that horrified me. They were stopped at the bridges going into New York on their fire trucks, just watching helpless as the second plane hit the tower! It was surreal just sitting and listening to them.
I tried to relate to them that I wanted to leave Miami that very morning, and help out in some way. They both said that everyone they talk to about that day says the same thing, and their opinion was that we needed to stay where we were, and help in our own communities. Profound!
They did say they had plenty of people just walking up to help, but these people were hindering their performance in the clean-up a little.
My mother and sister went with me on this trip. mom was so upset at Ground Zero, she had to start walking away. We all walked to Battery Park, where a statue that was at WTC Plaza had been moved. It was in ok shape, the sculpter who was commissioned to do the statue said to keep it in its beaten form to remind people what happened. I don't think we need a statue to remind us, but they left it alone.
On an eerie point, Ground Zero is so quiet compared to the rest of New York City! We could hear the trains under the ground, but not much else. Weird! It was as if the birds knew not to chirp there.
Talk hard!
