Hi all, welcome to my tribe page. I'm Robert, Little Rob to many of you out there. Why? Because, In my group of friends, at a mere 6 feet & 200 pounds, I AM the small guy. I do Renaissance Faires, and other reenacting, swordfighting, shooting, reading and really like to make stuff. More on that in a bit. I'm now 36, and divorced from my good friend- Nan. I'm here to re-connect with old friends and attempt to re-discover the things that defined me in the years past. Oh and meet new friends, too.
Now, onto the stuff I like to do. As mentioned, I have a lot of odd hobbies, which led me to making things you can't get. I have made evrything from rubber hand grenades to swords and knives for my faire friends. My real love is making custom steel work (both weapons and simple items like forks and broaches) for my friends at faire. I enjoy the process from concept to completion. Soon, I hope to have a proper small forge again, and to get back to pounding metal.
So there are the things I can think of; enjoy, and drop a note sometime!

OK, so yesterday I decided to drink about a pot and a half of coffee. Why? No idea. Just tasted good, felt like what I needed.
Well, having only had maybe a cup a day for a while, this was a bit much. I think I was actually hallucinating- in a vibraty way. (Is that a word, you ask- Kubrick thought so!)
So here is a public service announcement-

Just that. Hmmm. You know, the sound you make kinda low in your throat, when many other actual words would fail you.
An appropiate sound for so many situations. As in "Hmmm. I wonder what I should do today", or "Hmmm. I'm not sure that was such a good idea". Or maybe "Hmmm. Yes that IS a Tyrannosaurus. Well, heck. Now that my divorce looms, I am left wondering what to do. I am not interested in the bar scene; I don't do dance clubs; my basic social outlets are renfaire and ww2 reenacting. Of those, ww2 has almost all men. No good. So I am left with faire.
I really need some new hobbies...

I wanted to state that my first blog entry is relevant, and not too harsh. I have looked back on my interactions with everyone-my friends, family and even my wife, and all those things I mentioned have happened. Many people may not have noticed, but I think back and can remember some specific examples, so my assesment stands.
