Anyone who has ever laid face down on a massage table knows the
unpleasant discomfort that results from pressure on the sinuses, stuffed up
nose and unsightly marks on the face. Until now, these have been the
unavoidable problems caused by traditional static face cradles and head
rests which tend to block the sinus sutures.

The Rest-A Head Kradle addresses all these problems with several
ingenious innovations. The compression of the client's face from massage
(or just the weight of the head as in acupuncture or other treatments) is
transferred into the stainless steel springs, instead of their head or neck.

The preferred position for the client's neck is the flexed position as
it opens the disc space and allows for more freedom for the spinal nerves of
the neck. Most people get a little narrowing of these spaces as they age.
The closer the spring is to the table on the track the more forward you can
place the head which allows the head to be lowered and in flexion.

The Rest-a Head Kradle is self-adjusting. This addresses the concern
of being able to adjust the head-piece to allow the head to be in flexion.
By moving the spring component away from the table on the track while
maintaining a neutral cervical spine you are able to put the head in a
slightly extended position at the Occipital-atlas junction. The key is
maintaining zero balance, a neutral spine.

The cushion is designed to support the head by fitting comfortably around
the face, not pressuring the sinuses and is made of high density foam
covered with a layer of memory foam which solves the problems of wrinkle and
crease marks caused by other face plates.
