Greetings! I am Yonderman Mark, the Burning Man regional for New Zealand. I love Burning Man so much I have been 11 times, and this year will be my 12th. My story is one thats hard to believe but true. I discovered Burning Man by accident in 1994 with Jane my life partner on what was meant to be a quiet camping trip in the desert. That turned out to be a life-changing time. I've still managed to attend BM even after moving back to NZ in 1998. The BM office made me NZ Regional a few years back when they formalised the role of regionals in the USA and beyond. My first major event in NZ was Kiwiburn1 a one night event at the Visionz festival in Golden Bay. Since then Grant "Tribull" Man and I have organised two stand-alone Kiwiburn events, and KB has evolved to being a major central North Island event. Thanks to all who have joined in and brought Burning Man to kiwiland!!
