Work goodness has turned into badness as the prospect of a bright idea becoming reality has triggered a turf war of biblical proportions. I hate wasting energy on crap like that.

Cat badness has turned into at least SOME goodness as the cat is doing a little better... he's still effectively under a death sentence, but at least he's having good days. We'll have to play it by ear.

Goodness: had a bright idea at work, really excited about what it might imply. I'm building a prototype spreadsheet to see if it really works. If it does, I think I just met my 2005 goals.

Further goodness: Noodling with the old letters. I collect letters from the pre-stamp era. Since there's no stamps, it's quite a puzzle to figure out what the rates were, which is what seriously obsessed people like me want to know.
